My name is Scott. I’ve been riding motorcycles since I was kid. Never an expert just an enthusiast.

Cory one of my childhood friends and I decided we would take a two week motorcycle trip on our Harleys for our 30th birthdays. We rode all the way to Helena, Montana to his parents house and back. A 2500 mile ride that had both the ups and downs of all the things you can experience in life. It was that acceleration of both bike and emotions that inspired my trip to Finland.

So, this site is for family and friends to follow along on my motorcycle journeys. From my home town in Petaluma all the way to Finland and beyond. I’m taking three months from June to the end of August in 2016 to get to Finland!

This isn’t about finding myself. It isn’t about running away from something. I love the life I’ve created. I want to know what it feels like to travel long distance on my own, and challenge myself to think outside the ‘box’. This about L.I.V.I.N on a moto, and exploring our world!  From the beautiful streets, cities, states and countries, to the people who make it go round! I’m scouting it out on a motorcycle!

Scout was the name given to me by a friend of mines daughter.”Not now scout!” she says with a crinkle in her nose, as I tell her it’s time to go. How dare I tell a four year old it’s time to stop playing in the playground.

I thought, what a fitting name for someone who loves to travel and prefers to go off the beaten path. So ….I’m out, and I’ll do my best to keep up on the site and share my experiences.
